This thread is in the wrong forum section, is full of baseless rumor mongering and general misconceptions.
As a member of the team that is actually working on the new NPC AI and the Sleepers as well as an avid drone user I will say this:
You will have to think outside the box, you will have to pick your fights. And you will be challenged, if none of this sounds appealing to you then you should probably stay in K-space.
Lovely. By the same token I suggest you stay away from Forum-Space.
Disagree.
I concur with Malcanis. In fact, I think more Devs should tell the people here that they are about as bright as a a 5 watt light bulb (my words).
Aside from the whines, my favorite was the person who was arguing about PvP, and used the alliance tournament for comparison.

So that translates to if drones are your primary weapon, you fly drone ships and have all your skill points in drones then stay in K-space you're not meant to be in W-space?
Sounds more like it translates into "fit a tracking disruptor to keep them from hitting your drones" or "throw some ecm drones into the mix to keep them from targetting anything at all" or "fit a dampener and use sentries" orGǪ
GǪwell, just off the top of my head. Again, has anyone actually tried ewaring the crap out of these poor things?
No...I was in a cov ops and no one else in my gang was smart enough to bring some. :v

Edited by: An Anarchyyt on 19/02/2009 23:31:14 It's more like, idiots like you shouldn't venture into w-space.
You make me sad that people who are making ridiculous judgments on things they haven't even seen first hand are allowed to make horrible posts on the forums.

Yes, as we all know, if anything helps fighting uninformed rumors it must be not giving any hard facts, right? That way people will limit themselves to what they know and no one will try to make any guesses on what little information is available.
On topic: I think it's a safe bet that CCP (as a whole) doesn't really like drones. So I wouldn't wonder if W-Space was designed to be inherently bad for drones. Perhaps it's not even consciously.
BTW - the Large Remote Armore Repair II has a range of about 8KM. I guess "adapt or die" can be translated to "train other races or use only sentry drones and play sitting duck?"
Your post makes me really want to respond with something constructive.
BTW - Certain ships may have Remote Rep range bonuses.
